About Us

Management One® specializes in small business success by showing any company how to get a better return on their investment in their inventory and people.

Management One started in Chicago in 1990 and now has experienced business coaches in the U.S. and Europe supporting hundreds of clients. We continue to grow through word of mouth advertising generated by client success attained through the Winning@Business, Winning@Retail, and the new Margin Buying Service.

Our affiliates operate as facilitators, bringing an average of 25 years of business experience along with proven Management One® processes. This solid experience is coupled with training in Management One’s processes to make sure that clients prosper.

Credo 1: Improving Lives
We understand that our business is one of improving the lives of those who work with us by improving their businesses. Everyone has goals and aspirations that he is trying to accomplish through his work, and we will work diligently in providing quality products, processes, training and support to make as many as possible of those goals and aspirations into reality.
Credo 2: Our Values
We operate with and through people. That means that integrity, honesty and openness are the foundation of our dealings with clients and affiliates alike. We expect that our affiliates will reflect these values in their dealings with clients and others in the business world. We give before we get. We believe that respecting our affiliates and clients is crucial. Our policies and practices are based on what is best for our customers and any policies or practices we develop will be to support and reflect those goals. We will not set our policies to protect against those who might not reflect our goals if those policies hamper the ability of others to achieve Credo 1. We will start by trusting people and trusting in people until proven that the trust is misplaced.
Credo 3: Customized Service
We structured the company so that we can and will be a small company regardless of how large we get. That means that we will go the extra mile to provide excellent service. Every affiliate is independent and therefore, owns his own business. That makes him more responsive to his or her own clients. That means that the focus of Management OneŽ will be on the success of affiliates and clients and not on corporate politics and quarterly profits. We believe in making things as simple and comfortable as possible so that a maximum level of success can be obtained. That means that we will be accessible to affiliates and clients alike for discussions of personal matters, technical matters and any other matters that are important to affiliates or clients.
Credo 4: Processes and Products
We will continuously work to make our processes and information the best that is available to our marketplace. We understand that fashions, people, laws and business are changing all the time and our information must change with it. Our information and processes are customized for each client and we will do our best to provide the information that is timely, valuable and brings success to a client. We will always be open to comments, constructive criticism and suggestions and will evaluate each one honestly and make the changes that are in the best interest of everyone involved. Our goal is to make each client and affiliate a staunch supporter of Management OneŽ, a referral source for our Winning@ products, and a testimonial to our success at achieving the credos we have established. We want everyone with whom we interface to feel that he has received more than he thought he would initially. In other words, we want to under promise and over deliver.
Credo 5: Our Affiliates
We understand that the strength of Management OneŽ lies in the affiliates who deliver the information and create the action that makes it successful. Not everyone can achieve this and we will always endeavor to find people who have the experience, knowledge and work ethic to make this happen. We will provide training and retraining to support them in providing valuable information to clients. It is necessary that all of our affiliates have had a successful career prior to joining Management OneŽ as we believe you can’t tell a client what is best if you have never faced similar issues and made similar decisions in your own working life. We will support the affiliates in those areas that they need support. We will provide the means for affiliates to communicate openly with each other. We will provide a network to bring the combined skills of the organization to each client through his or her own affiliate.
Credo 6: Consensus in Conflict Resolution
We play fair. When a disagreement or difference of opinion occurs between Management OneŽ and the entities with whom it deals, we will strive to listen and make decisions based on what is “fair” for all parties involved. We work to reach consensus in our decision-making opportunities.
