With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech, Cassie Omohundro began her career in sales with a Fortune 500 company. Gaining a proven track record of sales success, she transitioned into medical and pharmaceutical sales, only to find that she missed the consultative relationships built with her B2B clients. When the opportunity arose to join her family’s business, she jumped on it, and her entrepreneurial spirit was ignited. Utilizing her corporate sales and marketing background, Cassie re-positioned the company, built a team, grew the business and doubled the size of the organization.
Looking for her next challenge, Cassie launched an online gift business in February 2011 that quickly evolved into a brick and mortar store later that fall. During the first four years in business, the store averaged annual sales growth of 28%, expanded its offerings and doubled its square footage. Cassie turned to Management One™ for assistance with open to buy budgets and cash flow planning. Using the insight and analysis provided by her Management One™ consultant, and the proprietary merchandise plans, she successfully increased margin, turn rates, and overall profitability of her business.
Wanting to share her passion, talent and entrepreneurial perspective, Cassie joined the Management One™ team as an Affiliate in 2016. Her goal is to help other independent retail stores grow their sales and market presence while increasing profitability and decreasing the cash flow strain of excessive inventory.
