Renee Ongaro is the Principal of Rimini Consulting LLC, a retail consulting firm specializing in branding, product development, customer insight and planning solutions with a focus on women's, juniors and children's apparel, gifts and accessories. We partner with independent specialty retailers helping them manage both their inventory and people. Through our affiliation with Management One ™ , we help retailers increase their cash flow and profitability, providing planning and forecasting services normally reserved for big corporations, providing over a 5 time return on investment. In addition, Rimini Consulting provides industry insight along with an analysis of the competitive landscape on specialty retail, department and discount stores for institutional investors. Prior to that, Ms. Ongaro was Vice President of Merchandising for Zale Corp where she was responsible for merchandising, design, product development and sourcing for their 630 store opening price fine jewelry division. Ms. Ongaro was VP of Product Development for juniors at Kohl's Corporation from 2007 - 2010 where she developed, sourced and launched two new brands for juniors resulting in sales of $200 million within a year. From 2004 - 2007, Ms. Ongaro was Founding Partner and Chief Merchandising Officer for JULE, a women's accessory start-up business. She created, planned, sourced and built all product lines, including designer and private label. She also has international experience working in Canada from 2000 - 2002 as General Merchandise Manager for Northern Reflections, a women's specialty retail business with 500 stores in both US and Canada. Ms. Ongarospent 16 years with Limited Brands in three divisions: Express, Lane Bryant and Limited Stores in progressive merchandising positions. She was Merchandise Manager of Women's Knits for Limited Stores from 2002 - 2004 where she directed a team of 30 and increased the profit margin by $20 million. She has a proven ability to launch new businesses and brands along with turning around underperforming businesses. She received a BA in Finance from Oklahoma State University.
