James McCoy graduated from Georgetown University in 1998 and began his career in New York City working for an aspiring high-end fashion jewelry wholesaler as accounting manager. From there he then worked for kate spade in the IT, Accounting and Production departments where he created a system to help manage the domestic production of all their handbags. In 2004, he started as VP of Finance for Intermix, a women’s retailer in NYC with four stores. Five years he helped the company grow to 25 stores and 450 employees, he launched and managed their e-commerce website, created the HR, IT and Accounting Departments, while total sales grew from $20 to $80million. James left Intermix in 2009 to start his consulting practice where he leverages his experience to a variety of retailers and wholesalers in the country.
