
Retail ORBIT® V2 FAQ
Management One has completely transformed the way Retail ORBIT® receives, processes, aggregates and analyzes retail data. The back-end work was crucial for our ability to scale our offerings, but it’s the front-end changes that will empower our Retail Experts and clients to access merchandise intelligence in transformational new ways.
In Retail ORBIT® V2, users will have access to ultra-flexible, interactive dashboards and visualizations that make retail data instantly accessible. In short, merchandise planning information that was always available in static reports is now accessible right from the home screen. With a few clicks, you can see how a business, location, or class is performing compared to the plan, or to historical data, or both.
In other words, comparisons and progress metrics that used to be work-intensive to locate, export, print, and analyze are now right at your fingertips. With the groundwork fully in place to visualize and manipulate data, Management One will soon release additional data dashboards that provide equally flexible access to other important merchandise intelligence.
The reports themselves are still accessible, of course—but much of their value has been extracted into customizable visualizations that make it easier to dig deep into a retail operation on a moment’s notice. The result is a dynamic platform that is custom-built to empower business owners and their dedicated Retail Experts to solve problems and seize opportunities in real-time.
Launch FAQ
When will the changes happen?
We will first soft launch to our beta site on June 28th. We are opening this up to our community - both Retail Experts and M1 clients - so that you can become familiar with it and be ready for when we fully cut over to Retail ORBIT® V2 later in July. We invite you to explore the dynamic and interactive nature of our new reporting system. Filtering, sorting, grouping, exploring our new visual progress dashboard - please explore.
We will add the beta site link here as soon as it is available to experience the Retail ORBIT® V2 beta site. Since it is a beta site, you will also notice changes over the course of the beta period: we will continue to develop features and refine existing ones on the beta platform. So please don’t be surprised if you see changes over time.
Will I have to go to a different website?
For the beta site, yes (see above). Once the complete transition is made after the soft launch, you will continue to login at www.retailorbit.com and use your same login credentials.

Dynamic reporting and filtering offers increased flexibility in how you prepare and export reports, powering deeper dives tailored to specific consulting situations
Subscribe to updated reports via email, or get alerts based on performance data
View data for custom time frames on demand
View trends based on percent and sell-through
Class progress report now extends beyond the fiscal calendar
What will training look like?
Training will be held via webinars with walkthroughs and a live Q&A between June 21 - 24th, 2021 for Retail Experts and clients separately. We will offer a tour of the new welcome dashboard, report library, navigation, and functionality.
