Background
Brandon began his retail career at Uniqlo after earning a business degree from Temple University. Uniqlo’s commitment to customer service, value, and high standards for organization and cleanliness became the foundation for how he approaches every store.
Over eight years, he managed Uniqlo stores across the Philadelphia area and helped launch the company’s entry into the Washington, DC market. He then joined Uniqlo’s US merchandising team, planning demand for menswear and accessories and placing orders directly with factories. That experience gave him a view of retail from both sides: how a plan is built, and what it takes to carry it out on the sales floor.
He later ran cafes at Starbucks and managed a Brilliant Earth jewelry showroom, adding food service and luxury retail to his background.
As a Management One Retail Expert, Brandon helps independent retailers build strong fundamentals, from well-run stores to inventory plans grounded in data. His goal is for every client to make decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, Brandon designs tabletop role-playing games and likes to draw.
“I am a different business owner than before working with Management One. I didn’t have a buying plan or markdown strategy. I liked to order by what I liked, what customers requested, and what I thought we needed by looking at sales data, but our inventory was out of control. It kept stockpiling more and more dated inventory without a clear plan to move it out. Working with Brandon has allowed me to talk out ideas, have things explained in a way I can understand, and clear out so much old inventory. I feel like the store went on a well needed inventory diet, and one year in, we are much healthier. Now I have strategies to set us up for success in the future, so I have learned from those mistakes!”
“Management One has been a great partner for our business. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely enjoyable to work with, especially Brandon... We highly recommend them!”
THE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
What can I expect from Brandon?
A store operator’s eye.
I spent ten years running stores, so I look at your business from the customer’s perspective and with an eye for smooth operations: arranging your space the way shoppers think, building displays that tell a story, trying a presentation change before a price cut, and setting up simple accountability habits for your team.
A partner between meetings.
Your plan sets the direction, and I’m here to help you act on it between meetings. That might be daily sales goals for your team, a budget worksheet for market, or a vendor deep dive. Whatever challenge comes up, I’m glad to help you work through it.
Coaching that explains the why and follows up.
You’ll get clear rules of thumb you can use on your own, like when to take a first markdown. At each meeting, we’ll check in on what you tried and look at the numbers to see what changed. The goal is to help you buy with confidence and learn from each season.
