Overview
Yes, it is true: Shopify is discontinuing the Stocky app on August 31, 2026, and replacing it with new inventory management built directly into Shopify's core platform. We realize this is frustrating for many retailers who rely on the functionality of Stocky to run their retail operations, so we created this resource page to help guide you.

Fortunately, we’re ahead of this and we’ve been developing an integration with Shopify's new Inventory Management system. Our Support team will notify you when it's ready to make the switch.
Continue using Stocky for now
Your Retail ORBIT data is completely safe. While Shopify won't automatically transfer historical Stocky data (old purchase orders, stock counts, etc.) after August 31st, you won't lose any of your Retail ORBIT history during this transition. This is one of the many advantages of having your planning data in our system.
What’s Next
After August 31, 2026, you'll no longer be able to use the Stocky app for managing inventory, but you'll have read-only access for a period of time.
Your historical data in Stocky, such as old purchase orders and stocktakes, won't automatically move into Shopify after August 31, 2026. If you want to keep this information for your records, then you must manually export any records you wish to keep using Stocky's built-in reports. Suppliers can't be exported from Stocky.
Some Stocky-specific features might work differently or might not yet be available in Shopify.
Any Stocky APIs will stop working on August 31, 2026. If you're using third-party tools that integrate with Stocky, then you'll need to update these integrations to work with Shopify's inventory management system.
