Background

Robert Reedy has spent more than five decades in retail, working his way from the stockroom to overseeing a five-store men’s apparel operation. He began as a store manager at Grodin’s in San Francisco, where he ran inventory and cash control, led a sales team, and learned firsthand how merchandise, displays, and promotions drive results on the sales floor.

He went on to serve as General Merchandise Manager and Buyer for a family-owned group of five men’s tailored clothing stores: three Jay Briggs locations, David Stephen, and Ariston. Over eight years, he built lasting vendor relationships, managed stock levels, and worked closely with store teams to grow sales.

In 1986, Robert joined RMSA Retail Solutions, where he spent more than two decades as a retail consultant and eventually became Vice President of the West Coast Region. Even while leading the region, he continued to grow his own base of planning clients.

In 2010, he founded Reedy Consulting & Analysis in San Francisco, where he serves as President and as an affiliate of Management One. Today he analyzes client P&Ls to improve profitability, builds inventory plans and forecasts, and develops risk management programs that reduce liability. Some of the clients who hired him when he first started consulting still work with him today, a reflection of consistent results, honest advice, and a habit of treating every client’s business as if it were his own.
